Local Art therapist and Storyteller Anna Atkinson, is offering two separate

Storytelling and Art Therapy workshops this Winter.

These workshop aim to begin a seasonal myth club. Where mythically we can align with seasonal shifts inside and outside, using art, music and storytelling to get in touch with the rich and enlivening landscapes that perhaps are there holding us and providing us with a rich feast without us even realizing.

We invite ourselves to the ball.

The first offering is January the 18th. The story of the half girl.

We will explore how mid Winter is sometimes a time of scarcity and low resources. This workshop aims to sustain and nourish us back to wholeness.

To bring new year intention both slowly and cautiously.

Acknowledging some of the internal battles we face around loss and bare branches before renewal and return can bud and take us forth.

The second is on February the 1st. This is an Imbolc workshop exploring the transition from Winter to Spring inspired by the writings of CS Lewis.

The workshops will run at the Wellington center 11-3pm.

Advance booking necessary.

Each workshop will cost £40 for the day/ £30 concession rate for those struggling or both workshops for bargainous £50.

These workshops are designed for curious adults and those open to magic and wonder in all it's strange guises. No art skills necessary... Hearts of all conditions welcome both open, closed, battered or bruised.

Anna Atkinson has worked as a qualified art therapist in Hastings for over 12 years in the community and has been running therapeutic storytelling since she moved to be here by the sea. She trained at Tobias school of Art and Therapy for three years, has a degree in Illustration and recently studied the full time intensive program at the acclaimed International school of Storytelling at Emerson college. She is also the author of the Wonky Woman guide to tarot and exhibits her mythic artwork regularly.
