Dr Joanna Gore

As a child Joanna experienced other-world journeying and astral dreams, her childhood bed was pushed up against a white woodchipped wallpapered wall, lying facing this wall, she used to press her nose against the wall until, awake, she felt it dissolve and she fell through into a world of strange adventures, where flying was her mode of transport and castles and wild animals lived. Following her lifelong interest in esoteric research and practices ranging from Astral projection/out of body, Lucid dreaming, Spiritual healing, Reiki, Tantra, Quantum phenomena, Herbalism and Plant medicine, and after a soul searching trip to Peru, in 2015 she embarked upon training in shamanism. Joanna has worked with Shipibo and Quero Shamans in the Andes, Mayan Shamans in Guatemala, with John Perkins, Simon Buxton, The Isle of Avalon, the Northern Drum and undertook a sustained training in Contemporary and Cross Cultural shamanism with the ‘The Sacred Trust’ where she met and works closely with her shamanic clan. Joanna is on a lifelong pilgrimage to reconnect to aspects of her authentic traditional spiritual practices embedded within Celtic, Druid, Pagan and Irish ancestral roots.

oanna works in partnership with her spirit guides, offering deep and meaningful spirit lead/shamanic healings and guidance, small group work, and ceremony. Although there are some general healings listed below, all healings are done with spirit guides and so what healing you require is always specific to you.

What to expect in a one to one healing:

We will call in spirit guides, light a candle and bring an object that is ‘sacred’ to you. You will lie down with eyes closed while Joanna, calls in further spirit guides using rattles, drums and voice. She will journey to the Other worlds to ask for healing and/or guidance. You may see, hear or feel something (it is all a part of the healing journey/information) or you may not feel anything at all. Joanna will remove blockages and bring back any lost power of yours and reinstate it. She will recount the journey information to you, give you any integration work that needs to be done and discuss any classical healings that have taken place. Most other information is given by spirit in metaphor and so is specific to you, this is not interpreted by a shamanic practitioner as this could be interpreted in any number of ways, it is specific to you.

One to one healing modalities – please not that this can interweave during a healing and Joanna will always consult with a diagnostic spirit ally before undertaking any work.

Soul Retrieval…

Your Soul is your vital essence, your true and complete self. Soul loss is a survival mechanism where part of your soul dissociates/gets lost in the other worlds due to a traumatic incident. You may “feel like my heart was torn from me”, “feel I’ve lost some part of me”, ‘Post Traumatic Stress Disorder’ is considered to be soul loss. Addictions are also indicative of soul loss where a person seeks to find their soul but mistakenly tries to fill the void with other things such as sex, drugs, chocolate, nicotine, shopping etc. I will journey to the spirit world/ non-ordinary reality, seek and find lost souls of yours who are ready and willing to return. I will delicately and compassionately collect and help the soul who is waiting to be returned to you and restore that true essence, integrate the soul/true essence back to you, where it belongs. I will also ask for information as to why the soul left and what gifts, strengths or talents the soul is bringing back. I will also ask spirit for you for any other information or guidance and relate the ‘healing journey’ to you.

Dis-ease object intrusion/Extraction or other Power loss...

Illness/Dis-ease is due to loss (power or soul loss). When something is lost it leaves a space or vacuum in your energy body, as nature usually fills a vacuum, something will often come in and take its place causing blockages or illness and disease such as joint pain, heart problems, organ cancer etc. Disease objects can also sit in ‘chakras’ blocking energy flow. The blockage/object is usually caused by your or other’s negative thought patterns, sometimes lack of expressing negative emotion, holding it inward instead or absorption from others. These negative thought patterns become disease object intrusion (or in some cases can be a spirit attachment or possession).

I will work with a specialist spirit guide, using a sacred eye and hand, firstly to see the intrusion and then remove, clear out the intrusion and safely dispose of it, sending it back to source where is dissipates, leaving you free of that intrusion. I will then replace it with some power or energy, sometimes a returned soul, as above depending what is offered by spirit to help replenish that lost energy.

Space clearing...

Do you feel uncomfortable in your home, place of work? are there 'things' you see, hear or sense? Does your family get recurring illnesses? Sleepless nights? I can clear spaces to compassionately move lost souls or energy to their rightful place leaving your home at peace and for you to enjoy.

Transition Work/Death/Dying...

I can help people and animals close too or dying, to transition from this world to the next, with strong support and with love and compassion, calling in ancestors family and friends to help the process. Holding you close every step of the way, helping you deal with your loss while celebrating their continued journey. I can also ‘check in’ with those that have passed over to pass on or receive messages and put your mind at rest.

Psychopomp...

Sometimes for many different reasons some people who die in this world do not transition to their rightful place and so stay in the 'Middle world' (This physical dimension) where living people also reside. Some are lost, do not know they have died, some due to trauma and tragic or confusion at death, some stay to be near loved ones, some stay to help others. Most would prefer to transition and some can cause discomfort for those they are around as a result. Shamanic practitioners can gently and lovingly help them to transition, this work is called psychopomp.

Family Healings

Families are the people in this dimension who you are connected to through bloodlines or chosen in other ways, they can be fraught with relationship conflicts or present as incredible support systems. They can be the cause and healing of trauma. Joanna offers group/family shamanic healing, whereby a family come together to a neutral group room with sacred intention for a healing that addresses the spirit of that family group.

Divination

Joanna is versed in the art of shamanic divination and can do spirit informed readings with a specific set of divination tools if you require.

Pricing:

A One to One session will usually last around 90 minutes and costs £110, subsequent sessions 55 mins and cost £90

A one to one healing includes the narration of the 'healing journey' at the end of the session and a subsequent voice note sent to you. You are welcome to have a write up of your entire healing journey for an extra £20 - please ask, there is often a lot of information to remember and a write up gives you time to sit with it.

'Rolling Thunder' is a series of one to one healings lasting one or two days, following the guidance of spirit and needs of the individual until a conclusion is met. £300 per day 10-4pm.

Previously to 2019 Joanna’s academic education includes a First Class hons BA in Fine Art (1994) an MSc in Social Anthropology (2000) a PhD; The Role of the Artist in the Institutional Dialectics of Power, Control and Resistance (2005). She is also author of “Leave me Alone- Power Control and Resistance in a South East London Primary School (2004) and ‘Mad, Child or Artist’ in Changing Anarchism; Anarchist Theory and Practice in a Global Age (2004). Joanna was a lecturer in university and program leader for lifelong learning for many years and worked as artist in residence in schools and with Trust art project in ’Mental hospitals’ from where she did her PhD research.
